As content manager at Anthem Media, part of the job was to design the magazine covers. For St. Louis CEO, we contracted a freelance illustrator to create the image, then I would add the headlines and select a harmonious color scheme.
For other magazines, such as Commercial Journal Kansas City, I would schedule photo shoots then choose the best image for the cover.
